Is there a way to have TV specials in the correct order?

I have all of my TV shows on a hard drive, connected to my HTPC, which is where my Plex server is. I’ve been going through and making sure everything is named correctly for Plex, but when I’m watching a show on my HTPC I watch through VLC, not plex, so the naming of TV specials is throwing everything out of order. Is there a way I can name my specials so that they show up on plex correctly, while at the same time they’re in the correct season/file order on my PC? Thanks
