How to Split Apart episodes

Just wondering if there is a way to split and fix matches on specific episodes on plex as I can’t find why the season 18 episode is matching as season 17

What tv show ordering do you have for that series?

I don’t have time to look it up right now but if I remember correctly the TVDB and TMDB have some conflicts as to what season is what.

edit

Ok never mind, the episodes do look the same for both

If you click the 3 dots on that video you should see the option to split them apart

They appear to be named correctly

I have mine named the same way except for the “webrip 1080p” part

You can try to delete that part from the file name and see if it makes any difference.

Is that the only 2 episodes this is happening for?

You can only split apart the show level, not individual seasons or episodes.

@GavinBertenshaw : did you rename those files after adding them to Plex?
Does the accidental merge persist if you perform the Plex Dance procedure for the mismatched one?
I’m with JaysPlex7 when it comes to removing the technical blah blah (or at least place it in a set of square brackets).

I think tom80H nailed it. I suspect you had the numbering wrong for the episode, added them to Plex (who combined them), then renamed the file after. You can try the “Split Apart” option, but it’s show level, and will split the show into two entries (I think). Plex Dance the entire show (or just the affected episodes) to fix this.

Renaming files in-place after Plex has seen them causes many issues. It’s best to Plex Dance the files afterwards, just in case.
