How to stop video preview thumbnail generation process manually and few queries over version mismatch

Server Version#: Version 4.66.1 OR Version 1.25.2.5319-c43dc0277

What’s the difference between the two? On my Mac, Version 1.25.2.5319-c43dc0277 is being shown but over web page Version 4.66.1 is shown

That’s the version of Plex Web, not Plex Media Server.

You have Plex Web configured to synchronize settings when you login via different browsers, on different systems, etc.

The version of Plex Web via app.plex.tv is always newer than the version bundled with Plex Media Server.

If you login directly to your server you are using the older, bundled version of Plex Web, and the settings will not be synchronized.

Reboot the server (or at least stop/start PMS)?

You can also disable thumbnail generation at the library level. Edit the library, choose Advanced, uncheck the box for preview thumbnails.
