My partner and I are sharing a server and have a lifetime Plex pass. To keep out play history separate we each have managed user accounts.
How can we download music to our phones? It seems like there is a way to sync as a managed user since we’re given this option when creating a managed user:
But we can’t figure out.

It is important to know that only one plex user can sync/download onto one given mobile device.
i.e. if there is already content downloaded by the Plex server owner on that particular phone, the managed user cannot download something under her/his account anymore. The other user must completely wipe all downloads to allow another user to download.
Since you will be using separate phones, this might not be an issue. But it is important to know if you are just testing the “downloads” feature using only one phone.
That’s exactly what I was doing wrong. I had stuff downloaded on the main account from when I was testing.
