I created a new managed user for my Plex server. I am logging in via Plex for Mac and for some reason, the new user cannot sync in the app. It’s driving me crazy. The old managed user and the admin can. But when I try to download with the new user a pop-up appears asking me to sign up for Plex. However, my server does have a subscription and the admin too. I get this behavior only in the Plex for macOS app. The iOS apps sync beautifully. Am I missing anything?
I have a similar issue since yesterday. Admin account with active Plex Pass, sync worked great on all devices for all accounts including managed users.
Now the “sync” button on the mobile apps disappeared for the managed users and on the Plex Windows app it asks to get an Plex Pass subscription when clicking download.
Tested new managed users and multiple devices. Server and client apps are all up to date and permissions are all set correctly.
I’ve looked through the forum but only found old threads with no solutions. Can we do anything on the user side to resolve this problem?
Good to know that I am not the only one with this problem. Weirdly enough, when I click on the message to upgrade I get the message that I am already on a Plex Pass and that there’s no need to get another subscription. I wish the Plex Support would look into this!
Anyone from Plex please respond! Is this expected behavior from your side?
