I am unable to access my personal Plex library on my iPad. I have no problem on either my iPhone or my computer. When I went to go in, it did not recognize my real password, so I had to change it. When I did that, it changed my username without my knowledge or participation, and now I can’t reset my username. So my problems are this. How can I open up my personal Plex library movies on my iPad and at the same time change that username without it telling me that if I’m not allowed to do that?
Plex username policy changed earlier this year. If your account was affected, then your username was changed. See All accounts are having a unique username set .
As mentioned in that article, you can change your username in your account settings: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/account. The username must align with the new policy, so you may not be able to change to your old username.
You can also use your e-mail address to sign in to your plex account.
