Hi, I’m having the same issue. Could you please reset my certificate?
@BigWheel - Seems like you have a much larger issue with the certs on your end… alot of requests. Could you also reset my Certificate? Here are my logs:

Thanks in advance.
Hi, I’m having the same issue. Could you please reset my certificate?
I’m having a similar issue. I can access my NAS via apps, but I receive a ‘Not Authorized’ message when accessing via web. Logs show cert is expired. Please help! TIA.
Hey fellas,
Any idea how long it takes support to offer assistance?
TIA
@BigWheel i’m having the same issue. My local server (plex thuis) does not connect to the web player but all the apps work. Is this because of the cert?
@BigWheel I am having this issue also. All the applications work, just randomly now the browser has stopped. It was working a few days back.
In the console of EDGE:
[Connections] SERVER NAME is unavailable at https://XXX-XX-XXX-XX.daXXX45955XXXdfb3.plex.direct:8443/media/providers (Status 0)
[Connections] Prevented fallback to insecure connection for SERVER NAME
@knownhero what is your server installed on? Is secure connections set to Preferred? can you access via Localip:32400/web. have you tried clearing cache/site data for app.plex.tv do you allow. does it do the same in other browsers besides Edge?
@Soulplayer is it not necessarily because of cert. Could be browser or extensions blocking third party cookies etc. I generally recommend first clearing cache/site data in browser and restarting server to begin with and check other browsers
You can manually regenerate the certificate via these steps:
- Browse to the Plex Media Server data directory on your server
- Open the
Cachefolder - Delete
cert-v2.p12 - Restart Plex Media Server
- Installed on UNRAID using (linuxserver/plex)
- Secure connections set to Preferred
- Can visit local
- Cleared Cache
- Does the same on Chrome and Firefox
It’s really strange it was working fine, I then brought the plex pass and now it doesn’t. I don’t think that would have done anything to it. But that’s when I noticed the issues.
EDIT - As a test I thought I’d try my iPhone on safari on 4G to see if that works. And that seems to have worked.
EDIT 2 - Figured it out. Turns out work firewall was blocking it! Note to self or anyone, test on a device that’s outside of the problem area. I just setup a proxy and now connect to it via 443
can you reset my certs please having the same problem
@Armando26 it is reset
@BigWheel I have the same problem as the rest, can you please reset mine as well?
reset @skaning
@BigWheel Can you reset mine too?
sorry for late reply @FMisplon looks like you created a new server shortly before posting. it all looks fine from what I can see. are you still having issues?
Hi, I’m having the same issue that cannot connect to server when using app.plex.tv, although ip:32400 seems to connect. I cannot connect through ios app either. Can you reset my cert as well?
Thanks,
@BigWheel I’m having the same problem after upgrading my docker container.
- https://app.plex.tv/desktop says “unable to connect securely”
- Can access the server with http://IP_ADDRESS:32400
- Can access via phone/tv/console apps
- Deleted the entire
/var/lib/plexmediaserver/folder as a first step for troubleshooting - Secure connections was already set to Preferred
- No browser extensions
Happy to share logs or anything you need. Thanks!
Managed to log onto the online plex server and it asked to reset/add a new server so had to set it all up as new.
@jabbercube your server looks like it got a new cert yesterday. Are you still having issues?
