I cannot access my server with a browser but i can with the Plex app

I don’t think so on the shield at least because all the directories are not accessible by a user. rebooting server sometimes helps but since you are not home that would not work

sorry misread your reply

Yes I know, thank you for that. I was asking for the next time I have similar issues so I could do it on my side.

sorry there isn’t. Rebooting server can help and certain file be deleted in specific scenarios but you would not be able to access them on shield easily . but in your case afaict we would have needed to do it as far as I can tell.

Hi, I shared my libraries with my sister. I live on the US and she lives in France (as friend). She can stream from her browser but gets there attached error when trying to stream with plex app. Could you advise? Is it related to the same issue?

That has nothing to do with issue. I can’t tell if that is a tablet or what but that just looks like the activation screen for one of our mobile apps for Android or iOS which are not free. They have a one minute time limit until purchased. Your Plex Pass that allows you to use the mobile apps does not transfer to all your shared users.

You can technically add her account to your Plex Home but that is really meant for people you actually live with in the same residence Category : Plex Home | Plex Support

So she can only stream from a browser? As part of my pass I can share my library with friend. Isn’t it correct?

General Sharing with a friend and remote access is free, you don’t need a Plex Pass for that. She can watch in browser, or any of our “big screen” apps for TV for free (like Roku, Apple TV, Android TV). Our mobile apps for Android mobile, and iOS cost $5USD each. You don’t have to pay that because you have an active subscription for which it is included.

I don’t understand - we were streaming on her iPad iOS app using her free guest account. There, we got the pop up. On the browser with her same account, it worked fine. From what you were sharing, it seems it should have worked since it would be included?

Just to clarify our setup - I have a lifetime membership, she has a free account with which my libraries are shared (as friend).

What does she need to do to be able to stream on the app.

@BigWheel I have the exact same issue.
I can access my server with any Android app but not via plex.tv in a web browser.
However using IP:PORT works in a browser.

Would you mind resetting my cert as well?

buy it. a guest account is in your Plex Home. Her account is not.

@vainetelevision done but you probably need to restart it.

Does ps4 count as big screen app?

Yes that is free.

Hi, same issue here also. Is it possible to reset my certificate?

Thanks

Hello, got same issue, cannot connect through browser on app.plex.tv but working connecting directly to ip ora via apps.

Is certificate reset needed? Thanks.

I am having the same issue. None of my remote connections are working. I have done a reboot of everything and still nothing is working. My firewall has the port open.

They seem to be having connection issues right now, I’m experiencing the same problem. I went into my remote settings and disabled it then tried to re-enable but it’s stuck just trying to contact the server.

It just came back online for me.

It’s back for the most part for me as well, seems to be spotty but it’s probably just services handling load.
