Remote access not working after resetting password

Server Version#:1.28.1.6104
Player Version#:app.plex.tv

Just updated password as suggested by Plex email talking about a vulnerability. Now I can’t access my server ;-;

Re-claimed the server after logging back in. Did not change anything else. Remote Access says “Fully accessible outside your network”.

But when I go to app.plex.tv it says “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “X” securely”. Secure connections is still enabled. What gives?

He,
I have the same problem with linux server…
When I try to connect me in Plex APP afer updating my password, I don’t find my plexmediaserver, I can only choose the plex server of my friends …
Somebody can help me ?
Thanks

I think there’s something going on wider. Looking at my logs I’m getting a lot of random Token Validation errors and relogging in devices sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t.

I have same problem with a Windows server. I believe the https server certificate for the server is no longer valid. I am able to access Plex via localhost (127.0.0.1).
In the past Plex support has been able to rectify this for us. I’m not sure there is a workaround on my end.

Re-claimed the server after logging back in. Did not change anything else. Remote Access says “Fully accessible outside your network”.

But when I go to app.plex.tv it says “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “X” securely”. Secure connections is still enabled.

I’ve got the same problem.
I can access my server using the local address, but plex.tv is “unable to connect securely”

I am Windows and agree with all of the above. The system is weird and obviously their OUTAGE goes DEEP into running our servers

My case even worst.
Ive try to reset my password and i never get the email instruction till now.
I cant even access my Unraid Plex Server until now also.
When i try to login back with my Plex credential i got that my Media Server are offline.

Same issue here. Strange thing is, after claiming my server, PlexAmp and the Plex app on my phone started working, but https://app.plex.tv is not. So I don’t think the issue is with our local servers, but rather Plex’s web app.

I’m having the same issue on a Synology NAS, receiving the “Not authorized” back from the local server.

Any clue why this is happening?

Re-claimed the server after logging back in. Did not change anything else. Remote Access says “Fully accessible outside your network”.

But when I go to app.plex.tv it says “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “X” securely”. Secure connections is still enabled. So basically I can not access my server remotely via PC or phone app.

I have no access, local or external, to my server after resetting my password. I can log in fine but no content.

I have the “not authorized” message if I click on a pinned item and “unreachable” message if I try from the settings menu.

FYI, my remote access via web just started working.

Same issue. I have local access, but not remote.

I reset my password re-claimed the server after logging back in. Did not change anything else. Remote Access says “Fully accessible outside your network”. but when I connect remotely none of my libraries are connected. If I click a library it says “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “plex” securely” Network settings are configured correctly.

Same issue here. When I go to the link page it says account linked yet on TV it times out

Same - updated password, enabled MFA, reclaimed server - no access to server unless on the localhost address. iOS App (Beta channel) fails to process MFA as well.

Adding another voice sobbing softly in the corner… “I just did what you told me to do… WHY ARE YOU PUNISHING ME?”

So, yeah. Changed password, reclaimed server, no ability to access remotely, and eventually the server stops responding even locally.

IF YOU ARE RUNNING A CUSTOM DOCKER NETWORK, TRY THIS!

Install a Firefox Docker (available on the unRAID AppStore)

Navigate to ip:32400/web from the Firefox docker

Should be able to claim your server now

I fix my pb now…
WARNING: my config is Linux (ubuntu) VM with no GUI
1- I stop the plex media service : sudo service plexmediaserver stop
2- I change my DNS address (before this pb, I use my Pfsense Address) to 8.8.8.8
→ cd /etc/resolv.conf
→ nameserver 8.8.8.8
3- I delete some parameters in the Preferences.xml files (i follow this article : Why am I locked out of Server Settings and how do I get in? | Plex Support)
4- I start the plex service : sudo service plexmediaserver start
5- Go tho the local adress of my plex server
6- I reclamin it.
And after that, all working …
I hope my message can help you to fix your problem … Good luke.

PS : Sorry for my poor english …

I’m also seeing this, reset my password & signed out of all devices.
Claimed my server but can’t connect to it via PLEX Web.
The PLEX app & plexamp both seem to work fine and can play media.

Hopefully whatever messed up with PLEX Web can be sorted soon.

I’ll throw in my +1, running PMS on Windows server 2019.

Changed password, signed out all devices, stopped PMS, removed registry settings, started PMS, logged in, reclaimed server, works locally, nothing off network or through app.plex.
