A while back I bought a qnap ts453a to backup my photo library. I recently picked up a bunch of video files, a friend recommended plex, and it was already on the qnap. Great.
Last night, using plex over the qnap desktop from my desktop computer I was able to watch a video, sort of. It would play for a while then buffer.
Tonight I plugged the qnap into my TV, no network, no buffering. I’m trying to get into plex to play my videos, already on the machine, and it won’t let me log in.
I’ve tried using the password, setting up a PIN, saying no PIN is needed, and so forth. I’ve been trying to do this for close to an hour, and it has been the most craptastic UI experience in recent memory.
All of these files are already on my server, I just want to watch them.
I can connect to the server.
I can log into plex on my computer, with my google account, or my pin, no problem. It just won’t let me watch my moves.
