I keep getting server not available when connecting to large libraries, when there is less than 1000 files it works fine.
Forgot to add…
Plex Version 0.9.15.2
running on Windows 10 Pro
This only happens from XBoxs One, works fine on my Android phone and other PCs around the house/country
@Perky1977 Have you tried optimizing the libraries you are trying to connect to?
Thanks, I’ll give that a try and let you know… It’s strange that it only happens on the XBone though.
This has done the trick, thank you very much!

Currently, the thought is there is an aggressive timeout set on the app side so when loading a large unoptimized database the Xbox is timing out before the server can load the data from the database which is why the optimize trick currently works.
i have this same issue how do you optomize the database? And why wouldn’t it do that when it’s first created? Thanks. I first tried on Windows Home Server and gave up and went to windows 10 and it was working while it was building my library but after sometime (large music library) this happened again so i assume it’s the same issue as above.

See this link for optimizing the database, https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200392106-Library-Actions
As i posted in another link. The app doesn’t seem to work from a Windows Home Server machine running Plex Server (or at least from mine). When i moved the server to another windows 10 machine in the house (i did run optimize on both) it seems to work fairly well (minus the poor scraping and the lack of browse by folder). The files are still on the Windows Home Server, just the Plex server is running on another computer. You would think it would run better with the files at the source…but apparently not.
I get the same “Server not found” problem when trying to launch a tv channel on the USTVNow Channel on just the Xbox One. The channel itself launches fine. Just when you try to open a specific TV Channel do you get the error. Sounds like the same problem. Any way to optimize a channel?
