Why is downloading not a part of my account when it says it comes with a subscription?
What exactly are you trying to download and from what app?
Downloads are only available for media in your own libraries or shared libraries where the owner granted you access to downloading their media. You cannot download media from online media sources – iirc this is due to some licensing restrictions.
Only the mobile apps and Plex for Windows/Mac/Linux desktop apps can download media.
Plex Pass holders will have the Plex logo next to their avatar, like this:
I don’t see that on your avatar, which usually means your subscription isn’t active for some reason.
only if the forum login is the same as their plex login, which isn’t mandatory.
for security reason it is more then sensible to no have them linked due to previous data breaches that plex has had.
I’m trying to download an episode on my Android tablet to watch off line.
From where are you trying to download that episode:
- library of a server you own
- library of a shared server
- Plex‘ video on demand service or some other online media source like Live TV streaming
