I Love Lucy descriptions wrong on tmdb, correct on tvdb, Plex only pulls the wrong one

For locked fields you would need to create a problem report on tmdb and ask a moderator to fix it. Include as much information as you can on what you believe is wrong.

However, looks like Mr. and Mrs. TV Show is included as I Love Lucy: Season 4 (1954) — The Movie Database (TMDB) as S04E24 as the aired date is is from April on their database. Its possible the episode ordering just needs to be fixed with aired dates adjusted so DO NOT JUST GO AND EDIT THE TITLES AND DISCRIPTIONS. Have the ordering questioned and the first aired date checked.

BTW… might take some time for a moderator to respond so be patient.

I’ll also say if fields are lockers then it’s usually (but not always) because a moderator locked them due to some other user making changes which violated tmdb rules. So be prepared to defend your requested changes with facts. Quoting tvdb might not be enough so see if you can find info on fan sites which include original aired dates. This Season 4 | I Love Lucy Wiki | Fandom seems to support what your saying so include that in your report.

One other thing. Have you tried changing the episode ordering in plex to use tvdb? It’s under the advanced settings of your library or at the show level depending on what you want.

Thanks for the response - when I view the episodes, the first screen has the title and original air date, so I know TVDB is accurate.
If it was easy to modify TMDB, like the descriptions, I would make the corrections, but I’m not up for all the steps you laid out. I’ll just leave my agent as pulling from TVDB

Never ever just change the title and summaries if you believe the order is wrong. It will mess up all the other fields in the episode record including external id links, guest stars, translations etc…

Its also a sure way to get banned on tmdb

Edit: let me create a report on tmdb to have a moderator take a look. I’ll do it later when I’m back at my pc.

Believe me, I would not screw up the data like that.
In Season 2 the title, air date and episode numbers were clearly correct, but the descriptions were obviously wrong. In Season 4 the episode numbers are wrong, based on the title and air date. I would put in the correct episode number if it wasn’t locked.

Okay, this show is a bit to complicated for me to make any recommendation as I’m not familar enough with it. Taking the Episode Mr. and Mrs. TV Show as an example, if you look here Season 4 | I Love Lucy Wiki | Fandom it states …

Note: This episode’s original scheduled network broadcast was pre-empted. It eventually aired on Monday, April 11, 1955.

If this is true then the order on TMDB is most likely correct based on their strict Original Air Date bible rules. The actual date aired rather than planned date.

Anyhow, at a basic recommendation level feel free to create a report on TMDB and have a moderator take a look. But I’ll say you’ll be up for a fight to get it changed which is most likely why these fields are already locked.

and that is why i prefer to use TMDB before TVDB. Those guys mess up shows constantly with ordereing pulled out of their butts
