Let me just start by saying I have a VLAN for my servers. They cannot communicate between each other for my home network and servers. Further to that i have setup Plex Port forwarding. When I access the plex on the home wifi. It automatically goes into Relay because of the VLAN and does not connect securely. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
I suppose there’s two aspects to your issue…
(1) the server considers streams from within your home network to be remote due to the VLAN → you can configure the server to recognize certain networks to be part of your local network (Settings > [Server Name] > Network > LAN networks; though iirc this feature is only available for Plex Pass members)
(2) something appears to be wrong with your remote access setup, that’s causing Plex to fallback to the relayed connection… this can be anything ranging from some ISP restrictions, a bad network configuration or a misconfiguration inside your server settings or the server host

Hi Tom,
My Problem is not with the VLAN setup. I have it setup so that they both cannot communicate between each other. My problem is I cannot connect to the server due to a secure connection error. I have it setup so my network will reject all messages from server —> home. Edit: Actually, If i disable the drop the problem goes away, let me investigate
