Importing Local Information on Case-by-Case Basis

Server Version#: Version 1.21.1.3830

For adding most movies, the standard matching works fine. But for others, primarily those that aren’t yet in Plex’s sources, I build my own NFO files and find posters and other arts. How can I import this information and these images on a case-by-case basis? From what I can tell from earlier conversations, there once was a plugin to do this but it no longer works due to something involving Python.

I think this agent still works but not sure. I still have it in Plex.

While use cases for this might exist, I’m not actually running Kodi anymore. I had gotten used to using Tiny Media Manager to build NFO files and place images appropriately, and I’m hoping that Plex still has a way to import these standard items. The linked message also appears to date from 2012, and as I understand it, the change that affected the plugins happened much more recently.

I believe the only thing Plex will take from an .nfo file is the IMDB ID number (in Movie libraries only - not TV).

As far as I can tell XBMC Media Import still works as long as your .NFO files are correct.
I didn’t think Plex would use any .NFO natively.
