Server Version#: 1.42.1.10060
Player Version#: Plexamp iOS 4.12.4
Hi,
I have an issue with my Plexamp for iOS. I tried to test the conversion to a lower bitrate for the first time when I used cellular data since I wanted to go to another country. I tested it on an extreme condition to be sure it worked: I chose to downgrade from anything more than 128 (here aac at about 150) to opus 64 to be sure it worked.
It worked but now I want to go back to my previous parameters : listen to the original file but it is impossible.
It displays opus 60 on my Plexamp (though plexdash displays aac with correct bitrate)
I tried to erase cache memory, to reboot my server, … no change.
On my son and wife’s personal Plexamp the file is ok, on my server too.
So where are converted files? I’d like to be sure to delete it and play the original one
(I’m now trying to get playback of this song in its original quality aac-lc truevbr q68 -between 75 and 135kbps because my ears find it transparent)
My music is totally streamed from my raspberry pi on Manjaro with plex server compiled. Nothing is downloaded.
What is weird: during the first 1 or 2 seconds it’s written aac 127 then opus 60 when I change the album and comeback to this song. But I don’t know if the display is a big tough the real codec is aac.
Do you know where the opus converted file is written? I could perhaps delete it by hand
Did you clear the cache under
Settings - Playback - Cache before starting playback?
Do this while playback is totally stopped. You stop with a long press on the Pause button.
If you did do the above without any other results, recreate the situation, then fetch and post the Plexamp logs (zipped please).
I used the long pause pressing, then I changed the album without playing it, erased cache and updated (I don’t remember the English word used in app) my library.
Now it’s ok ! No more issue today
Thanks for your advice and sorry for my ‘frenched’ English
