Plex for Windows needs video transcoding for most of my Live TV sources, and I’ve disabled transcoding in my server, that means that I get a “Could not tune channel. Please check your tuner or antenna.”
First of all, it took me a long time to find what was wrong because that message doesn’t have anything to do with what it’s happening.
What’s more, if I record those channels as is, the player supports those codecs for Direct Play. So Plex is refusing to Direct Play that stream from Live TV but allowing to Direct Play it from recordings, which doesn’t make sense. My Android Phone has no problem streaming it.
Please fix Live TV Compatibility dettection.
