Incomplete PMS Install

Can someone explain to me why I’m having issues with building my media? Evertime I try to go to my media it says to download the server. I’ve downloaded it 6 times already and im regretting paying $40 for the year pass.

Did you actually install Plex Media Server? Just downloading it is not enough.

If you have installed Plex Media Server, that message typically means that you previously had PMS installed using a different Plex account. Since that account and the account you are using in Plex Web don’t match, you can’t access that server. Uninstalling the software does not remove any old account information that may have been used. You can use https://support.plex.tv/articles/201941078-uninstall-plex-media-server/ to correctly uninstall Plex Media Server and start over. Or you can use https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/ to identify the account currently being used by your server. There is also information on how to remove that information so you can claim it with another Plex account.
