Maybe some clarification first… based on how the remote access status indicator works, it’ll show a green status until it’s completed its accessibility check. In your case that’s causing it to show a green status until it figures out it’s not properly connected.
Have you already checked if your router actually gets a publicly routable IPv4 address from your ISP? More and more ISPs will only give their customers IPv6 or private IPv4 addresses.
