For instance, a user tries to start a movie, and it begins to play, but then tries to start the intro, plex crashes, and the plex logo pops up and goes back to the home screen. I’ve seen this happ…

Nothing that I’ve seen… It’s super annoying… I actually installed and am playing with Jellyfin. The bad part is this seems to be a bug in the client so you can’t easily just roll back the server version and fix it.

It’s been working lately for me. Just make sure the Fire TV app is updated.

I just tried it… and SOME of the intros are working. But many of them are still causing the client to crash. Some weeks ago, every intro would cause it to crash. Something seems to have changed, but it’s definitely not reliable yet.

I hope this gets fixed soon…I miss my pre-rolls! ha

Just piling on this bandwagon. It looks like there has been 2 releases of the Android client since this was acknowledged by the Plex team and still no complete fix. I miss my pre-rolls too! Please fix this!

@BigWheel Any updates? I will renew my offer to help test and provide additional logs if needed. I understand the Discover launch has priority, but I want to make sure this issue doesn’t get lost. Thanks!

Sorry I don’t have any updates but will poke the bug report. Have you tried 9.1 yet? There was a pretty significant update to the android player.

I will give 9.1 a try tonight and see if the issue is still there.
