I made some changes to my list of users and had to resend invites. Users receive the invites (two of them actually), but neither one of them seems to work. I can log in under the user’s account via the invitation and log into Plex, but the “Pending” status never goes away and my PMS only present my master account. I am adding managed users.
I think you are mixing up ‘managed users’ and ‘Friends’
Managed users don’t need an invitation. You create them as sub-users in your own user account.
They are a feature of Plex Home.

‘Friends’ on the other hand get invitations.
They must accept the invitation first. They can do this by clicking a special link in the invitation email. If they don’t have the mail, they can also log in to their own plex.tv account and accept the invitation there.

There is also a hybrid mode possible, where you invite regular Plex Friends into your Plex Home.
But beware: once you do this, these users too can use ‘Fast user switching’. All what keeps them from accessing your own user level is your 4-digit PIN number.
Ok so I create the user both ways, under My Home and Friends. Both get an invitation and both do not work. When adding a user under My Home do I select “ADD AN EXISTING PLEX USER” or “CREATE A MANAGED USER”?
The link you sent me sucks as it does not show this dialog. So more of my time is wasted.
OK so for what ever reason i recreated my users under My Home (as I did several time before) and selected “ADD AN EXISTING PLEX USER” (as I did several time before) and this time I only received one invite and this time it worked.
Someone at Plex must have caught the rat chewing on the wire.

Why would you create under both? That’s only going to give you problems. If it doesn’t work, restart the server, still doesn’t try a machine reboot. Basic troubleshooting 101.
Sorry if I was not clear. I did both at separate times. None the less it appears to be working now. Thank you for your help.
