iOS players won’t play since upgrading server to Windows 11

Player Version#: Plexamp 4.12.4

Ever since I upgraded to windows 11 I haven’t been able to get any tracks to play in iOS Plexamp. It connects to the point that I can navigate through tracks and select something, but it just spins when I try to press play.

The app works fine on my desktop windows 11 box. I’ve made sure I’m using the most up to date version of the server, and both iOS apps. My iOS Plex app works fine.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what might be the issue?

Cache: Network error (404) occurred

It looks like your server isn’t able to find/access the files.

What can I do to fix that? It was working fine before the windows 11 upgrade.

I don’t have enough information to know how to answer that, sorry. Almost certainly some sort of permissions thing related to the Windows upgrade and the media you’re serving.

The first test should be to use the Plex Web app to play the file, to determine if the error is restricted to Plexamp.
If the error is also occuring in the web app, then it is likely a Plex server issue, not a Plexamp issue.

In the latter case, enter your music library using the Plex Web app.
Navigate to one of the affected albums/tracks and call up the Plex media info of a track.
Look at the top, which shows the path where Plex server is expecting to find the media file.
Now check if the media file can be seen using the Windows file explorer on the Plex server machine. If not, investigate why.
If it can be found, compare the location which is shown in the file explorer’s address bar with the location shown in the plex media info. If there is a discrepancy, determine its specifics.

The error isn’t occurring on the Plex web app, I can play the file from there on iOS. There’s no discrepancy in the file location. So I guess the issue is with the iOS Plexamp app.

Do you have any idea what I should try next? Someone above suggested it might be a permissions issue since the windows upgrade, but I haven’t changed any settings. And I don’t know how to find out what might have changed with the permissions.
