I am able to connect my iPhone 15 Pro via USB-C to HDMI to an external monitor or television. I am trying to play Plex movies fullscreen on the television.
However, Plex will only mirror what is on the iPhone and instead of playing the video, I see only the control screen. So I am seeing the video control screen on both the iPhone and the television.
I believe the issue is with Plex, because the same set up works as expected with Netflix. When you use Netflix on your phone (connected to a television via USB-C to HDMI), The iPhone will display the video controls and on the external monitor you see the full screen video.
It also used to work as described above on Plex on an iPhone 14. There I had a Lightning to HDMI adapter and could play videos this way.
I’ve searched both in the app and online, but cannot seem to find a solution.
