As said in the topic. I have a user that I originally added as a “Home” user. They have their own Plex.tv account and a PIN to access. But I’d like to switch them to a “Friend” user instead to take them off the user switcher.
Is there a way to do this?
I don’t think there is a way to do it without that user knowing…
but if you simply go to Plex Web > users & sharing > friends > share library > select user and assign them libraries.
then remove them from your home.
you can test for yourself, by creating a test plex account, adding to your home, then following the above.

If you delete them from the Plex Home list, it should drop them to a “friend”.
Awesome, just what I was looking for. Once you do this and they show up in friends, you can click on their username and in the top right corner of the user page there is a house icon with a plus on it if you would like to add them back to Home Users.
