I am trying to setup my Media Server, little miffed off because I just paid £31 for the yearly subscription only for it not bloody work. So i have uploaded the remote access screen which keeps saying offline, it wont play through my TV, and it says it has something to do with the UPnP, but as you can see thats currently enabled on the router. Everytime i disable and re-enable it it stays green for like 30 seconds, then errors, and fails.. I either want to fix this, or a full refund, i would ideally want to fix this? But where do i even start the help only takes you so far?
Forget it, ignore the post, i just turned on and off nearly 15 settings within my router, turned off my firewall, did direct port access, did a full map of TCP port, and still failed.
So ■■■■ this app and software requested a full refund, clearly its ■■■■■■ and doesn’t work.
You shouldn’t need to setup remote access to be able to stream media from your servers in clients / Plex apps running on the same network / subnet
Remote access has a number of dependencies (not all of which are under your control) – sorry to say, but hitting various (random?) settings on a router is like playing lottery, you can get lucky but it’s highly unlikely.
