Hey there just looking for some insight into a weird authentication issue. So years ago I did do my first sign in with Facebook (who knows why) but I’ve been trying to get away from it firstly by setting up a Plex account password as shown at the bottom here: Use Google, Facebook, or Apple to Sign in with Plex | Plex Support
Issue is after putting in a new password, confirming it then putting in my current Facebook password an 2FA key, I always get a “A valid password and verification code are required to perform this action”. More worrying than that, if I unlink my Facebook account then sign in in an incognito window, my password doesn’t work (likely as the Facebook authentication is disabled) until I re-link my account and it works again but only with the Facebook login.
Am I locked into using Meta for authentication for the rest of my life?
