Issues With Enabling Remote Access

Hello.

I have Plex running great throughout my home network and love the program. However, I’m having issues with enabling remote access. Here is my current setup.

I have AT&T U-Verse as my internet provider. My internet connection comes in though their provided modem / router and then feeds into my Asus RT-AC87R router. I have followed the directions listed on the Enabling Remote Access for a Server on the Plex website with no luck. The manually specify port box is properly checked. I’ve enabled port forwarding on me Asus router along with my AT&T router with still no luck.

I want this so badly to work and I’m pretty confident that I’m just missing some settings somewhere.

Anyone have any suggestions or direction?

because having two routers would cause a doubleNAT issue, are you forwarding the port in ATT router to the Asus router IP then in the asus to the server computer IP. Or you need to put the ATT into bridge mode so it only acts as a modem and not a router.

did you enter the port you used for external in the manually specify port field in the servers remote access settings?
