Ok so First thing was my Nas firmware update caused havoc with Plex…would not show a server…then when i finally get it to show I need to"claim server" and never got it claim…so with restarting the whole network and tried to claim still no bloody luck… Removed Plex and then I try and reinstall it i get the following message
Mind you that was both using the Package centre and a manual install…I am tearing my hair out…
This is getting beyond a joke for me almost considering going back to using a computer for my media station instead of the tablet/phone which i do prefer using for media
Have to delete plexmediaserver.pid (if it exists) and Preferences.xml everytime i want to try and Claim the server… on every attempt… when i hit claim server it does the busy symbol i wait 5-10 secs then i just stops…hit the claim server button again and nothing happens…even when it detects “first time setup” because of the file delection, it tries to claim server then and still no luck…i am attaching the logs folder to see if i am missing somthing for got something NQR… I have tried to search this on the forums but I don’t seem to have any luck…
Plugged my Nighthawk back in after swapping ISP…found the server…claimed server…back up and running in about 5ish mins…
No i have not updated Plex on my NAS at least to my knowledge…So i have no idea what caused the issue in the first place but it seems my NAS and Plex love my Nighthawk… and not like the temp netgear router/switch i was using when with previous ISP
