Hi,
I have issues with scanning and naming The X Files episodes in Plex. I’ve respected all the naming conventions, I tried with AND without the “-” thing in the naming of the files but I always have the same issue: Only 2 seasons (I have 3 on my computer) and no pictures, actors…etc informations.
Do you have any ideas?
Here is some screenshots:
Okay, the metadatas have finally worked correctly but I still only have season 1 & 2. It’s named exactly the same than the two first seasons.
You have season 2 episodes in the folder season 03
Strike that…
Your season 3 episodes are named as season 2(s02eXX)
Change the numbering to s03eXX
oh… well spotted. I feel a bit stupid now but thanks!!
I precise for people who have issues with the metadatas for the X files that the solution is to replace the “-” by a space between the “X” and the “Files”
Ya. Most people do. Heck, most people on the forum tell people to remove dashes and such.
I don’t however. The only two things I change from the original title is to remove “The”, “A”, from the beginning of the title
“The X-Files (1993)”
becomes “X-Files, The (1993)”
or… “A Very British Murder with Lucy Worsley (2013)”
becomes “Very British Murder with Lucy Worsley, A (2013)”
and replace ALL ampersand sign to “and”. That includes titles and episode titles.
The one exception to my rule is M*A*S*H. I have it as “M A S H (1972)” for obvious reasons.
All right, I’ll think of it next time. Thanks
