Hey I don’t often use my chrome cast but just noticed today that any italic text just doesn’t get displayed. Anyone else have this issue and a way to resolve it?

I’m also facing this issue. At least with .ass subtitles. Took me forever to realize why certain lines weren’t displaying while the rest of the file would play fine. This seems to be exclusively on my Chromecast with Google TV. I tested the same exact files on my android phone and on my Shield TV and both display the subtitles completely fine. This definitely wasn’t an issue before the last month or two. I remember noticing it during the issue where the Chromecast had refresh rate switching issues, and initially assumed it was linked somehow but the refresh rate switching issue seems to be resolved without the italic subtitles working again.
Just found that italic subtitles are now working on my Chromecast with GoogleTV. No changed settings, just on latest versions of the server and client.
