I've somehow made my Plex videos play smaller than before

Server Version#: ?
Player Version#: Amazon Fire Stick App

I seem to have accidentally enabled some setting where my videos in my Plex app on my Amazon Fire Stick play smaller than the full screen. Previously all videos played as large as my screen would allow, maxing out either the height or width. Now 1080p files do play across the full screen, but 780p videos play in a frame about 3/4 of the size, and 480p files play quite small in the middle of the screen.

I’m attributing the problem to a setting I’ve changed because :
a) it previously played all videos large, regardless of the file resolution, and
b) I have two Amazon Fire sticks, both with Plex apps synced to the same account and one plays certain files smaller, while the other continues to play all files as large as the screen will allow.

Does anyone have an idea what I’m talking about and or what I may have changed in my settings? I can’t help but think it’s something simple I’m just missing.

Thanks.

Check Playback Settings -> Display Mode.

If set to Original try Letterbox instead.

Hmm. im not seeing that as an option in the settings of either my Fire stick or my desktop app… could you help me find it? or where to look for it?

FireTV / AndroidTV / Android Mobile:
During playback, pull up on-screen controls.
Select three vertical dots on right edge of screen.
Select Playback Settings.
Scroll down to Display Mode.

that worked perfectly. thank you so much.
