Jonny Quest / Pokeman

When updating my library, Jonny Quest is replaced with Pokeman. I have a manual workaround and I have a post on the TVDB forum asking for help. Does anyone know/have an idea as to why this is happening? Any help/advice would be appreciated.

It is almost always a naming issue.
So, how are your files named?
How are the folders organized and named where those video files are situated?

Are these episodes recorded by the Plex DVR or normally added?

These were not recorded by the Plex DVR. I have a directory on a separate drive and copy to the drive holding all my Plex media files.
I always follow the Plex naming conventions carefully. For this issue:
Jonny Quest
Season 1
Jonny Quest - S01E01 - The Mystery of the Lizard Men
Jonny Quest - S01E02 - Arctic Splashdown
etc.
Before I add any library, I always check the TVBD listing for that show to see how it’s listed…Seasons, Episodes, etc. and check the files against the TVDB listing.
All this matches.
If I delete Jonny Quest from the Plex library, do a library scan to make sure it’s gone, and then copy the complete directory to the path Plex is looking for the TV Shows, Jonny Quest appears correctly in Plex.
However, If I do another library scan, it changes to Pokeman.

Are these mp4/m4v files?
Have you installed the .nfo importer agents?

Do this:
Go to

  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB

In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Repeat the same under

  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase

Then perform the Plex Dance with the whole series.

They are .avi files (I can transcode to mp4/m4v if necessary).
I have not installed the .nfo importer agents (not familiar with that, I’ll have to study your link)
I have dragged the ‘Local Media Assets’ to the bottom.
Doing the Dance now.

you may want to modify your naming slightly adding the (year)

Jonny Quest (1964)\Season 1\Jonny Quest (1964) - S01E01 - The Mystery of the Lizard Men

edit, I also add the 0 to season > Season 01

Thanks, I’ll try that as well.
OBTW I might add that this issue only shows up with Jonny Quest. No problem with any of the 70+ other shows.
UPDATE - I just did another library scan and the problem did not recur. So all of the above help seems to have worked.
Thanks so much for your help. I’ll remember all this if I have a similar issue.
