We can already have different versions of a movie at Plex. E.g. different resolutions of the same movie.
Since we can also assign a label to a movie or series, my hope was that I could assign a label to a specific version of a movie (e.g. 4k UHD) and not to the 1080p version.
Unfortunately, this is not possible… I wanted to create restrictions for users so that, for example, large files (which have a specific “BigFile” or “4KUHD” label) are not available for remote users. Currently, however, we can only add a label to a movie (with all its different versions) and not to a version of that movie.
My feature request:
It would be great if we could assign the label to a specific version of a movie or an episode of a series and not just to the movie with all its versions. For remote users, this one 4KUHD version of the movie should not be available, but the other version(s) should be.
It’s about the labels that you can set like in this article:
