Latest App Update - Relay no longer working in Android App, works fine in Browser

Server Version#: 1.41.5.9522 (Plex Pass)
Player Version#: 10.26.0.2578 (Paid)

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
Android OS: v14 - One UI 6.1
ISP - T-Mobile Home Internet (CGNAT)
Relay - enabled

As the title says. When I was running the previous version of the Media Server and Android app, the Relay connection worked fine from my Android app while on 5G (non-Wifi). After the most recent update to the Android App and Media Server (Windows), this same remote access via Relay no longer works via the App. I am able to browse my libraries and tap on ‘Play’, but then it throws the error message “Source Error”, with the choice to either ‘Retry’ or ‘Close’ (Retry doesn’t help). However, if I open an Browser session on my Android Device while on 5G, I can login to my Plex account and stream content from my server without issue.

While on Wifi on the same network, the App will stream content from my Plex server without issue.

Has anyone encountered this problem with the latest App version on Android? I would appreciate any insights as to how to troubleshoot. I am not concerned/interested in setting up a VPN/VPS at this point in time, I just want to get the Relay working via the App.

Havent found a solution yet, but can confirm I am facing the same issue on my S23 Ultra running the latest version of PMS and the Plex Android app.

The app hits my server and shows as direct playing, but the video never actually loads on the device and it produces the same error.

I am also facing the same issue here with my S23 Ultra. The server can briefly see it as directly playing and then the error comes up.

Also having the same issue on Android phone as well.
Can play music on Plex amp app fine.

Been having the exact same issue all weekend on my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.

Same issue as well on my android phone

Same here, noticed a week ago when updated the app on Andriod to Version: 2025.13.0.
Windows server version is Version 1.41.6.9685

The app works fine connected to home network, but get “Error Occured: Sourse Error” when I connect to 5g Mobile data.

same issue using andriod (pixel) via remote (4g/5g)
When I use the app locally via wifi, I can play videos.

I thought it was my port forwarding but I can see my library fine

Same issue, Asus Zenfone 10, latest app version as of 4/29/25, server was updated 4/14/25

Just updated to the latest Plex App on my Galaxy A55 and having the same “source error” message. I have a lifetime plex pass.
Plex team, please fix this ASAP.
