With the latest version of server and the latest player for FireTV, I have to reinstall the app Every. Day. The next day, when I go to use the app, it will say it can’t connect to the server, showing my libraries with triangles with exclamation marks. No amount of retrying/reconnecting works – but uninstalling the app and reinstalling it works every time. This is tedious, since many (but not all) of your settings get deleted when you uninstall.
Note that my server is “unclaimed,” because I neither have nor want a Plex account.
My server is entirely local. Its name, IP address, and port don’t change.
This wasn’t a problem until I upgraded the server 2-3 weeks back and then updated the client.
On the face of it this seems like a bug in the player.
