The latest update to Plex for Windows 10 Desktop broke the Rewind and Previous buttons when watching live TV. Pause and Play still work. I have been unsuccessful at finding a download of the previous version.

Add me to the list.

Server Version: 1.20.1.3252-a78fef9a9
Player Version: 1.19.0.1399-31d8c803

Reverted back to 1.18.0.1392-cf94f6a1 to solve the problem.

Same here. Player Version 1.19.0.1399 won’t let me fast forward or rewind on timeshift live tv using the Plex app in Windows 10. I loaded 1.18.0.1392 and the time shifting features work!

Just installed Version 1.20.0.1406-f47a81b7. It did not fix the problem. Had to go back to 1.18.0.1392-cf94f6a1.

Same here. I had to resort to the legacy version of Plex Media Player since the new desktop Plex version on Windows isn’t working.

It affects both live TV and the ability to time-skip in in-progress recordings. For example, I started recording an NFL game 45 minutes ago and wanted to start it from the beginning. I cannot do that with the Plex desktop app - it just immediately skips to live.

Using Plex Media Player for Windows works fine though.

Updated server to PlexMediaServer-1.20.3.3483-211702a9f-x86 and Windows player to Plex-1.21.0.1410-50a34597-x86_64. Still does not rewind live TV. Had to revert player to 1.18.

Same here. Latest plex media server for windows with firestick with latest software

Same here. Plex-1.21.0.1410-50a34597-x86_64 still will not rewind live TV. Have to revert back to 1.18.

Updated to PlexMediaServer-1.20.4.3517, Plex-1.22.0.1421 and HDHomerun 20200907. Still cannot rewind or fast forward live TV. (Pause does work.) Had to revert to Plex 1.18.

Does anybody from Plex visit this forum?

Doesn’t look like anyone on the Plex team pays attention to this forum, but figured I would chime in as well. I am a bit of a late updater, I always wait a good couple months before updating to the newest version usually this works to my favor because most of the time bugs are worked out by then, but in this case, this bug is still here. I also upgraded my Windows Server Version and the Client, also using HDHomerun, and the ability to rewind and fast forward immediately broke. I spent some time troubleshooting the issue, but the second I found this thread with the older version and installed it, I regained the functionality.

Guess I will be sticking with this version for the foreseeable future. Thank You @pshawman for the link to the prior version, I really appreciate it!

No problem.

I’m experiencing the same behavior in Android clients. Luckily I found this thread and downgraded my android client as a result so I can now skip back/forward/seek. I downgraded to 8.2.1.18636. I haven’t anything newer that’s an older version, so newer versions may work. The latest where the problem exists is 8.8.2 (I also tried updating to beta 8.9.0.21527)

I would be surprised if there isn’t already a thread on this behavior, but I haven’t had an easy time navigating these forums.

Man live TV through the Web app is just totally broken at this point.

Rewind doesn’t work reliably, skipping back / forth by 30 seconds barely works at all and will often just arbitrarily cause the video to go Live instead of time shifted, and on and on.

All of this functionality still works fine in the Plex Media Player app which is otherwise getting deprecated, but the fact that this is still so broken three months on is just so frustrating.

Looks like this was fixed in version 1.23.0.1435-e10e14cf

1.25.0.1511-47afccd4 - working
1.24.0.1483-714cba36 - working
1.23.0.1435-e10e14cf - working
1.22.0.1421-be6a7c42 - not working

how do I get one of those newer server versions? If I try Public or Beta the latest I can find is 1.21.

+1. 1.21 is the latest for me as well.
