My server recently upgraded and a key feature was that when you click on an Actor/Actress, it shows a big picture of them, with a bio to the right, followed below by movies/TV shows they are in that exist within my media server.
Now before the update, it always showed my own server plus a friends server. However since the update, it now only shows my friends’ server media library in this section.
I’ve been through the settings but I cannot of the life of me find anything related to this so I’m hoping someone here knows.
Officially yes, they are up to date however, I’m refreshing the metadata again as I haven’t done this in a while. I’ll also double check the settings after this to see if all is good. Thanks for the link. I’ll update if there is an issue post these checks.
On a side note, I do find the PLEX agent really quite annoying as when it used to be TMDB, it would always find every movie regardless, whereas the PLEX agent sometimes doesn’t pick up new movies until long after they’ve been released. An example is ‘Fisherman’s Friend: One & All’ A british movie which is available to stream but not listed in the PLEX agent. Still, they catch up eventually I guess.
I don’t think that movie is an example of time being the problem to update things. That movie was released and updated on TVDB months ago. There’s just a malfunction here for some reason
Plex generally updates new things within 24-48 hrs.
More and more I am seeing conflicts between sources causing a problem. If TMDB makes a change it breaks the show order for TVDB or vice versa. Whatever the scanner gained in speed it’s lost in accuracy with these types of conflicts
If you add the movie the way you have it named, you can’t even fix match it
But…if you add the same movie with the TVDB OR IMDB id number it gets a match instantly

get matched fine this way but you shouldn’t be forced to do this
