i am signed into plex and every time i hit launch it goes to a grey screen with nothing
You need to give more information.
Signed in to plex - where?
Hit launch - where ? launch what exactly?
What have you installed in terms of Plex software and where is it running ?
Have you downloaded Plex Media Server program from plex.tv/downloads ?
Have you installed it ?
Have you launched Plex Media Server after installing it?
Is the Plex Media server process running?
What platform / OS are you using for the server?
I am having trouble launching Plex Server as well.
I’m running windows 7 pro 64-bit
I try right clicking the icon in the task bar and choose Open Plex and I get a IE browser that just says PLEX and it goes no further.
I just did a complete uninstall and reinstall including the registry key of version Plex-Media-Server-0.9.1506.1714-7be11e1-en-US
I have 1-PlexMediaServer, 1-PlexDLNAServer, and 11-PlexScripthost processes running
I have the following errors in the log:
[11168] ERROR - MyPlex: Error -1 requesting XML from: https://plex.tv/users/account.xml?auth_token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx&includeGeolocation=1
[9512] ERROR - Network Service: Error in browser handle read: 995 (The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request) socket=-1
[10996] ERROR - Error issuing curl_easy_perform(handle): 1
[10996] WARN - HTTP error requesting GET ttp://192.168.1.210:2869/upnphost/udhisapi.dll?content=uuid:47e8a7b8-xxxxxx (1, Unsupported protocol) (Protocol ttp not supported or disabled in libcurl)
Any Help would be appreciated

The processes that are running is OK.
Please always attach full log files instead of just picking a few lines. Use the Attach image/file
button to attach.
You can try putting this in IE and see what you get
http://localhost:32400/web
and also try `http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
The curl error in your log extract is not important and it is to do with detecting some device on your local network and the xml plex media server received was not as expected. This is to do with GDM and discovery and is not important. A change to Plex Media Server will be released in future release to stop that specific error - but it is of no relevance to your issue
For access to your server, try out Google Chrome on the server with the url’s given above
If problems persist,
- try reboot
- try repair of the installation - so download fresh copy of Plex Media Server from plex.tv/downloads . Check the download file : right click and select Properties and see that there is a
Digital Signatures
tab with enries forPlex Inc
- Shutdown Plex Media Server. Check task manager for all Plex processes terminated
- Re-install / Repair 0.9.15.6
- Launch Plex Media Server and wait 5 minutes
- Try again to go to
http://localhost:32400/web
- trying out different browsers. If this is a new installation then when launching it would go into setup wizard. Change the default browser if Chrome is ok but not IE
Tried the web addresses in IE and Chrome. IE just show a big PLEX in the middle of the screen. Chrome just is a white screen with nothing on it.
I re downloaded the install file and did a repair installation. Same results.
I’ve attached the logs

Please disable the extra network interface on 192.168.56.1 (is that to do with internet sharing?) - would like to see only 1 active network IP Address visible to Plex Media Server
Mar 08, 2016 08:47:56:891 [12992] DEBUG - Network interfaces:

After this restart the server and see what happens with just 192.168.1.213 in use.
If problem persists, attach a new Plex Media Server.log
file and a zip of C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Logs\PMS Plugin Logs
folder
That second interface was created by VirtualBox. I disabled it. Restarted the server and still have the exact same symptoms with both IE and Chrome
Thanks for your help. That was a good idea.

The logs show system.bundle started ok.
They show that when you opened Plex in browser, it loaded the two javascript modules and an image but nothing followed after that

But what they appear not to have run
Do you have browser security setting that may affect javascript from running?
Check Control Panel / Show All Control Panel Items / Internet Options / Advanced Settings
What should happen next is a request like this
Request: [127.0.0.1:9843] GET /web/translations/en-GB.json
which was not made
It looks like browser issue and may be you have enable Enhanced Protected Mode
setting or some other setting affecting the running of the javascript scripts
Enable Enhanced Protected Mode was not enabled.
I went to https://java.com/en/download/installed8.jsp and checked that java was installed and functioning and it was loaded and runs really fast. no lag.
I unchecked Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) in an attempt to see some sort of error message, but no other errors
I went to the internet settings security tab and changed all the zones to low security and unchecked protected mode just to try in case the zone was beings selected wrong. Still no change.
Where is /web/translations/en-GB.json located and I can make sure it is physically there?

Java has nothing to do with JavaScript. They only share the word Java.
The whole webclient.bundle is here
C:\Program Files (x86)\Plex\Plex Media Server\Resources\Plug-ins-7be11e1\WebClient.bundle
But if this works from another PC going ton
http://IP-of-server:32400/web
Then the WebClient.bundle is complete and not corrupt and the issue is local on the server to do with browser / add-ons
You can try browser in private mode -
Also try without add-ons
Is there any significance to the fact that IE will load the Plex logo and Chrome will not?
Went to http://IP-of-server:32400/web from my ipad and it loaded right up.
What can stop it from loading properly on the server?
there are several times that when I try to access the settings from the ipad it tells me the server settings are unavailable then I refresh it and it works.

That is just timing. I do get that occasionally. Could be to do with introduction of secure connections
I was able to configure the server from the ipad and create a library. When I access it from my iphone it says error loading content. I have a lot of these errors in the log
Mar 09, 2016 12:33:13:612 [6312] ERROR - How did a null service make it in for 127.0.0.1???
Mar 09, 2016 12:33:16:626 [6312] ERROR - NetworkService: How did a null service make it in for 127.0.0.1???
Does that mean anything to you?

We see these every now and then. Don’t know what causes them. I think they are harmless. I had them in one of my server logs in December. Can’t see the errors in the logs you uploaded earlier on here

Noticed i did not answer this
It is the usual answers I am afraid:
- Windows Security Settings eg lockdown on 127.0.0.1 introduced in past year or so and that it is not trusted by default
- Browser Add-Ons / Plug-ins
- Internet Options settings
- Firewall settings
- Third party products : vpn, proxy, parental control
- Third Party product: TCP Optimizer - see https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/215609417-Windows-Local-Plex-Web-App-times-out-or-never-loads
- Browser signed in to different plex.tv user from one server is signed in to (not sure exactly what screen would look like)
- Corrupt browser cache
