I have a new LG CX OLED TV and I’m quite happy with the internal apps, including Plex. However, one issue I’ve come across is the TV’s inability to handle DTS audio. This means Plex must transcode any DTS audio.
This in itself is not an issue and 90% of the time it works perfectly, but occasionally transcoding the audio of a 4K HDR file causes video corruption.
There are a few threads on this and it seems well-known, but as of yet there is no fix.
I have noticed that as well as the audio transcoding, Plex changes the video container from MKV to MPEGTS.
I am wondering if this is the cause of the graphical corruption and if there’s any way around this?
