My LG Plex app is just flat out not showing any text. Be it menu labels, metadata, button labels, setting menu. Nothing. Images show up, content still plays normally, but text is nowhere to be found.
Server itself is newly setup because the instructions to transfer an old server to a new location uh, didn’t work for me. I uninstalled the app, turned off and unplugged the tv for 10 minutes. Then when I came back and reinstalled it, the text was still gone. Text still shows up on my android app and desktop web page.
Only thing I can think of is the new “Modern layout” causing the problem, but because of the aforementioned no text, I can’t see where the setting to disable it is. If anyone has a picture of the modern layout of the settings menu to disable it, that would be something I’m all for trying.

It was all fine at the weekend.
Server on Nvidia shield and LG tv app in place for a while but just updated server to latest (Version 1.24.5.5173) and now it’s like this Not sure if this latest update is the cause.
I should say first off, thanks for posting on this issue. I thought it was definitely just something I had done.
I see a few other people have had similar issues. At least two other threads on this on going at this time, just in case you want to keep an eye on those.
Hopefully it will be sorted soon by the good people at Plex.
If you do hear of a solution or it resolves itself, perhaps you would be kind enough to post back.
Not sure if this latest update is the cause.
