Plex has been fine for as long as I can remember but recently all the text for things has gone weird and pixelated like the resolution of the text is very low. Everything else is fine like the media plays as expected.

It does not look like a Transcode issue to me, more like a font scaling issue. The font distortion appears in menus before playing any content. The attached image hopefully explains a little more:
Ok, going on what the OP said it was ambiguous, I have not noticed this issue but will check it out soon.
Update: I can not detect this issue on WebOS 4.4.0

I too have weird text rendering problems lately in the LG app. It’s especially noticeable in the “play”, “mark played” and “more” button texts when the buttons are highlighted (and the text size is increased).

Same here. Jagged characters in some of the menu items. Makes my eyes water :-/

It’s not all text, e.g. the clock display and half the media titles on screen might look fine, but the tab headings are glitched. I noticed if the icon sidebar is closed there seems to be less glitched text than when it is open … opening and closing it changes which bits of text look bad.
I notcied the Plex LG client updated today to 5.25.2 and it looks much better on my screen. Hopefully itis fixed for everyone here.
