It should work, but so far am not seeing it work at all. I can see other servers on the same app. I just cant see mine.
I don’t know if you got it working, but despite no input from me it just started working again randomly. I am set to preferred for secure connections but last week this made no difference. It started working this morning. Okay
It still hasnt worked for me. I have to keep using ATV4K to play on Plex. I had received a new WebOS Update yesterday as well.
I have the same issue. I have a LG C8 with webos 5.40.09 and since late last year I have been unable to connect to my friends shared plex server. Works fine on all other devices.
The version number in the LG is not really the actually versions that Plex is referring to.
- 2017 LG OLED 7 Series - webOS 3.5
- 2018 LG OLED 8 Series - webOS 4.0
- 2019 LG OLED 9 Series - webOS 4.5
- 2020 LG OLED X Series - webOS 5.0
- 2021 LG OLED 1 Series - webOS 6.0
Well that seems dumb. Either way, I did as suggest and turned on allowed for insecure connections always but I’m still unable to connect. I hate the way a tv I bought in 2019 is classed as old.
Dumb or not is irrelevant, what is important here is having a connection. I have a 2018 model LG OLED without any issue, check your Server connections are similar. ( Router LAN address may differ)
