I have recently found this annoying error to occur with Plex.
It all started happening around the time I added Sub Zero Subtitles into the plugins folder.
This caused me issues accessing plex through it’s local IP address when double clicked from the notification tray. I resolved this problem by removing Sub Zero via deleting it out of the plugins folder and rebooting the entire system.
Now I am having this headache of all of my libraries not updating.
I have added media to my “TV” and “Movies” folder which has been renamed via Filebots AMC script.
I have also added these files in manually while retaining their default names from their original sources.
My libraries now no longer bring in new content.
When I manually scan the files in Plex the scan runs for approx 2 seconds and finishes with none of the new titles being added in.
Thing I have tried are uninstalling Plex and Reinstalling (without a registry clean or reboot between the 2)
That’s about it…
I’ll upload my logs here in the hopes that someone might be able to help me with this.
Thanks for the reply trumpy.
Z drive is a Seagate “My Personal Cloud” connected directly to the router through ethernet.
I have no issues accessing it through Windows Explorer as a mapped drive.
I’ve tried your suggestions incudling completely disabling windows firewall.
I’m not too sure how to check the “map” apart from double clicking the mapped network drive in windows explorer.
One thing I’ve noticed is that when adding a library Pms will only look for local directories and not the mapped network drive. Capture|547x500
I’ve resorted to completely deleting TV library, downgrading to a slightly older version of PMS (Plex-Media-Server-1.13.5.5332-21ab172de) and rebuilding all of the metadata.
I’ll let it run overnight and hopefully we will be back up and running
Libraries are scanning as I type this.
Looks as though the issue is fixed.
Edit: TV show library has completely rebuilt itself and is reading new files now no problem.
Movies folder which was not deleted is also running perfectly after downgrading.
I can only put it down to the latest version of PMS as of writing this.
