I have 937 files in my actual media folder and only about 920 show up in plex any idea how i can fix this? I dont think its ever been correct
The first thing I would check is duplicates. Sometimes if your naming is off Plex will match movies that have similar titles that get hidden
In the library
I never used it but I think there’s a way to check this using Tautulli
Also, collections. If Plex added some of your movies to Collections, and the library is set to not show movies that are in collections, the number will be lower than you expect.
Thanks that fixed it where i am 1 file difference between folder and plex i will see what else i can figure out.
if you have any movies with Part 1 and part 2 at the end of file names it would also combine them and treat like it is one movie and not show as a duplicate
like I think the last two harry potter movies. to avoid that use roman numerals. Part I and Part II
OK it wasn’t harry potter I still have 931 movies in folder and 930 showing up in plex duplicates fixed most of it but trying to track down last file.
will it only show as one item on plex because the two harry potters show separately.
Well that’s good but if you have any other movies like that I would check the actual files names
I think Webtools might have a module for that as well.

What is web tools and how do i get it on my plex for synology.
