Movie folder on Hard drive does not match Movie folder number in Plex with total movies

Hi All,

I’m good with LEX but this has me puzzled

On my Hard drives I have 1,452 movies
In the PLEX Movie folder I see only 1,451

I have made sure there are no duplicates on the hard drive

What am I doing wrong?

have you filtered by duplicates in Plex to see if there is one? ( will have a blue number on top left) if so you can Split Apart them from it’s option menu.

The other thing it could be if you have two movies with Part 1 Part 2 at the end the file names. It would not have the blue 2 since it would place the files back to back as if they were the same movie. Like those harry potter or Hunger Games ones. to make sure they don’t do that use roman numerals at end of file names instead, part I Part II. Sort by Duration to see if any have an unusually long playtime.

if it was not scanned in at all then I think either WebTools or Export tools will show unscanned in things. ( can be found in third party section of forums https://forums.plex.tv/c/third-party/plugins/19 )
