Hy
I have emptied the library again
I have deleted all files from the test folder
I have copied all 17 movies not added to the library to the new folder
I added the folder to the library
Zero files added to thje library
I renamed a night ate the Opera the way you told me
M:\Teste Plex\A Night At The Opera (1935)
A Night At The Opera (1935).mp4
The movie has not been added
I really don’t think is a naming problem
I’l unistall Plex and restart from scratch again
I would be glad if someone can tell me what it says in the log
Best regards, Jacques
PS, To download Plex here in Brazil now, I’m adressed to a brazilian site that has not Plex for 64bits or explicity for windows 10. Only 32 bits for windows 7 or latter
Can someone send me the link to download from the original Plex site?
Avoid more than one pair of square brackets. So instead of A Night At The Opera (1935) [1080p] [WEBRip] [YTS.MX]
use A Night At The Opera (1935) [1080p-WEBRip-YTS.MX]
The folder you add to your Plex library must be M:\Teste Plex\
You do not add each movie individually!
In the properties of the library, on the “Advanced” tab, DISable “Prefer embedded metatags”.
If you don’t have that checkbox in the properties of your library, you are still using the wrong agent.
There is no 64 bit version of Plex server for Windows available yet.
Downloads are available at the bottom of this page.
Hi Otto
We already have a long discussion here and perfomed many tests
Thanks for your help but I think naming problems are completely discharged
I don’t know wether my answers to other coleagues in the forum are avaliable for everyone or not
The renamed file is in the folder
PS. I have dowwnloaded this movie today. Copied it in the same folder and Plex added it to the library. Without the naming rules. And match metadata to it
M:\Teste Plex\Damn The Defiant (1962) [1080p] [BluRay] [YTS.MX]\Damn.The.Defiant.1962.1080p.BluRay.x264.AAC-[YTS.MX].mp4
Hi Coleagues
Thanks everybody for your help and patience
I solved the problem myself and I want to share
I was quite sure that the files were not identified as movies when library was scanning the folder. I just have no idea why. I was quite sure that naming wasn’t the problem either
So I decided to examine the file and all of them not added are with zero bytes size
I have the folder and the file but all those files are zero bytes
I don’t know how most of the the files in some folders became completely empty
I appreciated too much your efforts to help and appologize for taking your time with a problem like that
I really missed a clear answer about the log file. I thought it would be the Holy Grail
Thank you very much
I’ll restart from scratch and I think that I will be able to enjoy my new Plex
PS. Now I have another question for you. How can thousands files became empty in different HDs and different folders?. Even part of files in the folder became empty and others doesn’t?
