Library shows data which no longer exists

Server Version#: 1.19.3.2831 on both
Player Version#:Multiple

Hello all,

Maybe I am using the wrong keywords, but I cannot find my question with a solution.

This has been happening for a while, but I am finally fed up.

I have a Plex lifetime account.

I removed files from within Plex, they still show in the library.
I removed files from my NAS units via NFS (2 of them, 1 ea: Synology QNAP )
I removed the directories from both NAS units (Again from nfs client)
I looked at:

AND

Also, I have removed the libraries completely, and readded the libraries and folders.

I still have the problem even after double checking the settings.
One library set to scan daily, the other on changes, but set to allow delete at scan.
Still existing
Manually emptied
Still existing

Clients tested on: Firestick, Roku, Windows GUI and PS3.

What am I missing?

All these changes are messing with the metadata, and PLEX does a notoriously bad job of updating metadata. Do the PLEX Dance , it almost always solves this problem.

Appreciate the input.
2 Items:

  1. Bad cut and paste when editing my post. I removed and added folders from the libraries, not the libraries themselves.
  2. Never tried the Clean Bundles. The first 3 items I did today to ‘double check’ before posting over 11.5k media bundles on the 1st server cleaning up right now. Will wait for the other to complete and continue. Will post results then.

Thank you

James

I am now working.
That was a real mess to ‘fix’.
Do I need to do this ‘Plex Dance’ on a regular basis?

You don’t need to do the dance regularly, but after changing things in your folders, replacing items, or other actions that effect the metadata its a good idea to do it.
