For “Limit Cellular Data”, the highest option currently is “2Mbps, 720p HD”. I would like to add to these options the some 1080p options of various bitrates. Reason being that many people now have unlimited data and aren’t worried about going over any data cap on their phone plan. However, there can be issues when Plex attempts to stream a 4K movie to a 4K compatible phone if the phone doesn’t have a strong enough signal to support 4K. This way the user can Direct Play a 1080p version of a 4K movie while using a cell tower, and be able to watch a 4K movie at home using their broadband connection. (Thinking specifically of a use case my sister had, connecting her phone directly to her TV through a hub and watching 4K movies on her TV, not on the little bitty phone screen)
Turn off the option to limit cellular data. It will then use the regular “remote quality” setting, which you can set higher than 2 Mbps.
