Limit of plex media server capacity on one device (extremely slow after 4000-5000 albums of music for example)

Hello everyone,

I’d like to ask something that i do not see anywhere on any forum about plex media server.
Is there some sort of capacity limit of PMS ?

To explain my question i will take my example.
So i’d like to create a big music directory in PMS on my qnap. However i’m in a way limited on the number of element that plex can manage. Indeed for example Sonos is limited at 65000 titles if i’m correct, however I thought Plex didn’t have any limit ! But when I try to synchronise my library which contains around 13000 albums, plex is slowing down around 4000+ albums and after it’s just slower and slower and it’s like 1 week to analyse 10 albums which is not possible as you can imagine :-/
I tried to do that on another computer on windows for example to see if the matter was the qnap but the problem was the same after 4000+ albums. So I think on any device (I’ll get a raspberry pi monday to try on it but it will be the same i’m pretty sure) the limit is the same and the problem comes from a capacity limit on Plex but it seems that I can’t get any information about that on the web ! (Or I don’t know where to find the information, that’s also possible).
Finally I tried to split my music directory on the nas of 13000+ albums in 7 directory with around 2000 albums in each and try to synchronise again with plex but the problem is the same at the 4th directory PMS is extremely slow to synchronise and it’s not possible again…
The only solution I see today is to have different PMS on different device like one on my NAS qnap, one on a Raspberry pi and maybe another one and synchronise 3 directory on the qnap, 3 directory on the PI etc…
But it is extremely dispointing and it’s absolutely not what i was expecting in the beginning with Plex … :frowning: Moreover I have Pictures and Films libraries that I’d like to synchronise but with the music directory that take all the capacity the problem is the same, it’s extremely slow and I’d need another PMS on another device…

So to conclude, do you know what is the max capacity of PMS and if it there is any way to modify it or to do otherwise ?
Or if it’s not possible do you know any other solution that can fit my needs ? (By the way I’m using sonos to put music in the house so plex is really cool to use with sonos and Plex is able to read every format like WMA, FLAC etc… that’s why i went on that solution in the beginning)
Thank you for your time and answers !

Kind regards,
RS
