Limiting user access

Server Version#: 1.22.3.4392
Plex Web Version: 4.54.5
Player Version#: Chrom v4.54.5

Is it possible to force users to log in using the user settings on the PMS rather than logging into plex.tv if their IP address is not known.

For example, I currently reside in a Rehabilitation/Nursing center. Since the IP addresses cycle and are not static dynamic, the IP address on my TV can change at will.

So basically, I have a user created that has access to specific libraries, but when I try to hit my PMS from a different TV, I’m forced to log in to plex.tv, and then I have full rights. I really do NOT want a regular user to have any access to the settings or to “delete” anything.

Maybe some kind of a basic user profile or something. Maybe the ability to specify WHAT the user actually has access to. Like server roles, etc…

Agreed. Don’t log into devices you don’t own with your server admin account.

Instead create another plex.tv account that you use for watching, and share your media with it.

We could all use more imaginary friends, right?

NICE!!!

Thank You!
